Curling

Grade 6s had French class with Mme. Villeneuve and Gym class with Mr. Slyk this morning.

After gym we began the final revision phase of our speech writing. Students read the speeches from beginning to end to assess whether their speech flowed and was convincing and to check if it fell between 3 and 5 minutes. They used a checklist to review their work. Revised speeches, rewritten in the correct order are due on Monday.

We had lunch and were then off to curling. It is great to participate in a fun activity like this when we have been working hard all week.

 

Once back at school students wrote their UOI test.

Students are bringing their measurement math tests home today. There will be a retest on Tuesday as many students did poorly on this test. We will use one of our recesses on Monday as a tutorial time to go over questions 1 and 5 before the retest on Tuesday.
