Day 5 – Math Review and Electrical Troubleshooting

 

During math today, Grade 6s worked through the remainder of the review package they began yesterday. They were challenged was to complete questions 14 - 25. Students are bringing the review work home. Any incomplete or incorrect work must be completed for homework. Students will be writing the unit test tomorrow.

During our inquiry time, we took up the last few worksheets we have worked on in class. Students then applied their knowledge and understanding of electricity to troubleshot electrical problems. Students will be writing a test on electricity concepts on Monday, September 25^th. It will cover all work in their electricity Duo tangs, including work done tomorrow and Friday.

Grade 6s attended French, gym, and music class today.

Students should be working on their IB Learner Profile poster and be ready to present these on their scheduled date. Zane will be presenting tomorrow.

Homework and Reminders

·        Math review Q. 14 - 25 need to be completed and corrected. Math test will take place tomorrow, Thursday, Sept. 21

·        Memorise multiplication doubles up to 15 x 15

·        IB Learner Profile Posters

·        Return the signed last page of the student handbook if you haven’t already done this

·        Read for 20 minutes

·        Thurs, Sept. 21 – Math Test

·        Mon., Sept. 25 – Electricity Test

·        Tues., Sept. 26 – Terry Fox Run. Come dressed in gym clothes, Bake sale.

·        Wed., Sept. 27 – Casual Day, Bake Sale

·        Fri., Sept. 29 – Orange Shirt Day.
