Day 5

 In math we continued our new measurement unit. We took up yesterday’s homework on perimeter. In our new lesson we examined how changing the length or width affects perimeter and area. Some students managed to complete all the practice work in class. Those who did not are asked to complete practice questions on p. 348-349 of the MMS textbook.

We had more spelling bee practice and the class attended gym and French today. Students who did not complete the DRA and OWA worked on that during class, gym, and first recess.

 As a special treat we got to see the upper school students perform their play. There will be a second performance tonight at 7 pm.

The class has been enjoying the in-class practice we have been having for the spelling bee. Everyone is asked to practice the spelling words at home. The in-class contest takes place on Thursday where the top six spellers will be selected.

Students are asked to please email their exhibition Prezi’s and PowerPoints to me. We will need these as we work on IB Portfolios this week.

Students are reminded to bring their band instruments for music class tomorrow.

The ordering system for June lunch is up and open. Please ensure you place your order no later than May 19th at 4:00 pm. Lunch payment is due by May 23rd 4:00 pm.

Clothing iron-on name labels are now available through Alpa.
