We started our day by taking up yesterday’s review package on patterning
and algebra. This took all of our math class time to accomplish. Students
should go over any questions they had trouble with to be prepared to write the
unit test tomorrow.
Next up was novel discussion time where we discussed Chapter 11 of Bridge to Terabithia as a class. The
class was assigned to read Chapter 12 and answer the questions relating to
Chapter 12. This is due tomorrow when we will have our next discussion time.
It was then time for the Arts’ Night performance for JK – Grade 2 students.
We also joined as the audience and got to enjoy watching other class’ perform.
Students then worked on their Digital Footprint summative task. Students
will need devices all week as they continue work on their summative task. The
last day for groups to present to me is Thursday, June 7th. They may
then present to their chosen class from Friday, June 8 – Tuesday, June 12th.
Students are to come to school dressed in their Arts’ Night costumes tomorrow.
Our performance for parents will take place tomorrow, Wednesday, May 30th
at 1:30 pm and 7 pm at the City Church, 2700 Argentia Road, Mississauga. Students
are asked to arrive at 6:15 pm. They should meet me in the classroom we have
been working in at City Church. After the performance, we will return to this
room, where students will wait to be picked up by parents.
Grade 6s are asked to return their instruments by this Friday, June 1st.
