Day 6 – Ambassador’s Tea Party

This morning, students worked to complete their Canadian regions landscape painting.

Once this was done, students worked on their science fair projects. Students should have completed their post construction sketch. Those who did not get that far did not go out for first recess today. This project will be prioritised this week as the science fair takes place next week, Thursday, November 30. Judging will be completed by 2:30 pm. At this time we welcome families to visit the school and see all the science fair projects from students in JK to Grade 8.

For our inquiry time today we had a tea party where the ambassadors from various developing countries met to discuss their country’s needs and to make possible social and trade connections with other countries. For some ambassadors it was their first time trying tea. They were risk takers when they did this. Some enjoyed it, but for others … it was not their cup of tea. The ambassadors used their country’s brochures to raise awareness of what their country has to offer and of some issues the country is experiencing.

In math we continued our data management unit. Students displayed data in tables, in bar graphs, and in pictographs. A few students need to complete and correct p. 101 – 103 of their MMS 7 books for homework if they did not get done in class.

Students attended French class today.
