Day 1 – Math Review

We had an awards assembly this morning. Well done to Taran (Risk-Taker in Grade 6), Alex (Risk-Taker in Gym), and Zane (Risk-Taker in French). We also had a relay race house game.

We spent a large amount of time working on math review today. Students are coming home with a review package. Everyone is asked to complete and correct all problems. Packages must be returned to school tomorrow when I will check work and conference with students as needed. The math test will be written on Tuesday, February 6^th.

For today’s speech work, students recited their speech to a peer with a goal on improving their presentation of the speech using feedback received.

During today’s inquiry time, students worked on their final project for this unit. Today’s goal was to record the narration for their RSA Animate, add background music (optional), upload the video to YouTube, and send me the link. Students who did not get done in class today will need to use tomorrow’s recess and/or gym times to get caught up with their work.

Students attended French, music, and gym class today.

Remember to return the trip form for our visit to the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum. Forms and payment are due on Monday, February 5^th.
