Day 6 – Curling

Grade 6s had a relaxing Friday. We did a little bit of math review on data management. We will continue this work on Monday. There is no assigned homework today.
As a treat, the class watched the City of Ember movie. It was thoroughly enjoyed by all. I overheard great discussions and comments from the class as they recalled which part of the book was being portrayed in the movie.

It was then time for curling. Thanks to parent volunteers that accompanied the class on this trip.

When students returned to school they had French class before heading home. It was a great way to end the first term.

Look out for report cards, writing graphs, and math graphs coming home today.

Student-Led Conferences take place next week Thursday, December 7th. ‘Pick-a-Time’ online bookings began today.

Today is the last day to pay for December hot lunch orders.

Our Very First Book Fair is Coming Soon – Yee-Haw!

“Saddle Up & Read” with the first Scholastic Book Fair at St. Jude’s Academy – December 7 to December 14

There will be lots of exciting books, posters, bookmarks, pens and pencils, etc. to choose from!

Proceeds will go to buying great new books for our library.

Students interested in being part of the Student Crew will be meeting tomorrow (Nov.21) at lunch.

More Parent Volunteers are also needed.  If you’d like to help out please contact Ms. Hayward at hhayward@stjudesacademy.com

Keep an eye out for more information here on your teacher’s blog, on Facebook, and on the Library blog: https://libraryatsja.blogspot.ca/
