OWA

Students continued being introduced to our novel study for this term. We began by clarifying the difference between a sentence and a phrase. Ask your child to explain the difference to you. Students met in their groups and read the prologue “The Instructions” before recording what they thought was the most important sentence, phrase, and word. They discussed their ideas and then reflected on what the book may be about. Students shared their ideas with the class.

Grade 6s worked on this term’s writing assessment. We will be learning about fables and tales. Today they wrote about how an animal came to be or how it came to have a special or unique feature. Most students completed this writing assessment. A few students will need to continue working on it tomorrow.

Students then worked to complete yesterday’s work on series and parallel circuits.

Grade 6s attended music, gym, and French class today.

Golfing trip forms need to be returned by Monday, September 24th.
