Electric Circuit Symbols

During today’s inquiry time, students read an informational text about the symbols used for electric circuits and their components the world over. Students recorded notes about the function of various components and the symbols used to represent them. They then drew circuit diagrams in response to prompts.

Today we finished up the reading engagement and oral component of this term’s reading assessment. We will begin working on the comprehension component on Monday.

Friday is art day. Students continued working on their op art projects. These are coming home today and need to be completed for Monday.

Students are reminded to also complete their mind map for Monday. They are to refer to the rubric in their Duo-tangs and the tips from yesterday’s video:

·         Use colour

·         Add one key word to describe your branches

·         Add images to your branches

·         Add connections to 2nd and 3rd level branches

Students are reminded to need to bring in $15 for their supplies and a shoe box to store their cars by Monday, September 17th.
