Popcorn Day

There are a few students who have not returned their IB Portfolios. Please do this as soon as possible.

Today’s class time was used to work on exhibition. The goal was to gain a deeper understanding of the issues using the central ideas, lines of inquiry, and key concept questions that were created by student groups. Students read information from secondary sources and recorded notes.

I had a conference with each group to discuss their progress. Most students have collected many pages of notes. Some groups are beginning to compose their interview questions. Some interviews have been scheduled.

Students had math class today. The reviewed drawing circle graphs. Students are reminded that a whole circle represents 100 % and has a central angle of 360. To find the sector angle, each percent is multiplied by 360. They discussed the worksheet questions and practiced drawing circle graphs. For homework they are to complete Question 4 on Page 310. The unit test will take place on Friday, April 5th.

Bouldering permission and waiver forms are past due.

Students are reminded to keep practicing for the spelling bee. The Grade 6 in-class bee will take place on Thursday, April 4th. Well done to Chelsea and Lynne for making it through to the Grade 7 spelling bee finals.

Spring fundraising payments can still be made.
