Viking Art

We worked on speeches for the first section of our time together today. Students read their speech in its entirety to determine if the speech was between 3 and 5 minutes. A few speeches were longer than 5 minutes. These students will need to remove non-essential information in order to not go over the 5-minute cap. Students then received cue cards. They worked to write their speeches on cue cards. The cue cards are to be used as a memorization tool. Students may hold the cue cards when they present their speech. The more they rely on the cue cards, the more their memorization grade will be affected. Our goal is to have the speech memorized entirely. Good copies of speeches are to be submitted for grading tomorrow. Completed cue cards are due tomorrow.

We had a wonderful inquiry time together doing Viking art. Students assembled their waves, drew their Viking longboats and sails and assembled the whole picture. Those who are behind are to complete the longboat and/or sail for homework.

Students attended French class with Mme. Stella math class with Ms. Joseph. In math students …For homework, students are to complete and incomplete work form yesterday: Q. 10 on P. 224 and Q. 1, 2 4, 6. 8a) on P. 228. And Q. 21 & 3 and on P. 236
