Finishing Up the RSA Animations

Our time together was very busy. During Where we are in place and time, students had the goal of completing the following steps for their RSA Animation:

Step 6: Increase the speed of the video (total time 3 – 5 mins)

Step 7: Write and record a narration that tells the story of your explorer

Step 8: Upload video to YouTube (do not use real name and do not allow comments) and send me the link (mhaag@stjudesacademy.com)

For some, the above process went smoothly and was completed in the time allocated. For others, the process was complicated and full of trouble. Students who did not complete the work are to complete it over the weekend and send me the link.

We discussed how to write the introduction and conclusion paragraphs for speeches today. Students then had time to write quietly. When they were done, they gave feedback to a peer. Unfortunately, there was not enough time for me to give feedback on today’s paragraphs. Parents, these ones are up to you to critique. Once students receive parent feedback, they should write revised drafts of the introduction and conclusion. These are due on Monday.

Students attended French class with Ms. Autio, and math class with Ms. Joseph. In math students …For homework, students are to complete Q. 1, 2, 7, 9 on P. 222.
