Exhibition: 5 Days to Go!

Day 6

We spent all day working on exhibition. Six groups managed to practice their oral presentations. Each of these groups received feedback on how to improve their slideshow. These groups should make all the changes and improvements today and be ready to present again tomorrow.

Students got to use the green screen for their French components today. This was our first practice using the green screen, devices, and apps. We will have another practice tomorrow. Students should have all devices, apps, costumes and props needed for their French component at school tomorrow. They should also choose a background for their newscast and appoint a cameraperson to shoot the video.  It is important that everyone memorise the French lines tonight!

Students used other class time to work on their standing display.

Exhibition groups are still working on their action components. As part of their action component for Exhibition, Jerry and Akash have sent home a small checklist for students to complete. Please return the survey by Friday, April 28. Leah, Eghosa, and Arya are also taking action for their Exhibition. They are looking for any used and unwanted sport equipment. If you have any items you would like to donate, please send them in! This used equipment drive will run this week!

The class attended French class today as well as the Spring Fundraiser Assembly where students got to witness Mr. Sawatsky get a pie in the face.

Tomorrow is the last day of our SJA Spring Fundraiser. This year, we are raising money for technology and our goal is $9000. If we raise $6000 as a school we get to silly string a teacher! If we reach our goal of $9000, students will get to water balloon the teachers! There will be a number of events happening throughout the week and amazing prizes for students who participate, as well as a grand prize, which includes a movie and pizza party!! Tomorrow is the Casual Day and Dance Party - bring in $5 and the form and be able to wear casual clothing and boogie-woogie away at a dance party!

Tomorrow is the last day for students to submit their $35 pledges. For a pledge of $35 or more, your child will be able to attend a class trip to Ultimate Laser Tag on Thursday, May 18. Thank you so much in advance for your participation. We greatly appreciate it! The pledge form and money is due by Friday, April 28.
