We began our day with a math lesson. We continued working on
the problems from yesterday's lesson on rates. Most students completed all the
practice work in class. Students who did not get done are asked to complete
questions 7 - 12 on p. 331 of the MMS textbook. Students will be writing a unit
test on Wednesday, April 15.
In today's inquiry time, students worked on editing the
typed copies of all their paragraphs.
They also worked on their bibliographies. The whole class missed both recesses
and a few missed gym class to get all this work done. Each group will be
emailing edited work to a designated person in their group by 5 pm on Saturday.
This person will collate all the paragraphs and forward the document to me by 5
pm on Sunday. We did not make our goal of having good copies done by today, but
we were close. I am proud of how hard the 6s are working.
19 School Days Till Exhibition
Groups who have had their art ideas approved should begin
bringing in art supplies.
Grade 6s had French, and Gym class today.
Look out for a package about SJA's Spring Fundraiser coming
home today. Grade 6s will be fundraising for science supplies. There are many
fun activities happening next week, beginning with a bake sale and coffee bean
sale, and ending with a pancake breakfast and sundae orders. There is a fun
prize for students to participate in for raising $35 and daily prizes for being
the top fund raiser.
