Scatter Plots on Excel

Today in math, we used Microsoft Excel to graph scatter plots. Students entered a data chart, edited the chart, created a scatter graph, and labelled the axes. We also spent some time talking about how to conduct a survey that does not include bias. Students paired up with a buddy to choose a survey topic, compose a survey question and answer options, and create a tally chart. Students will be conducting their surveys tomorrow.  There is now math homework assigned today. Students may use time to begin preparing for Monday's unit test.

Students are bringing their circulatory and nervous system unit tests home today. Retests will be written on Thursday. Please review, sign and return the tests. Students had a tutorial on how to use Microsoft Publisher during inquiry time. They then chose their own template and begin creating their brochures about a disease that affects the human body.

Drama time was hijacked by inquiry time today. Mr. Monaghan and I respectively taught the boys and girls about the reproductive system.

Grade 6s attended French and Gym class today.

Look out for February lunch forms coming home today.
