Our trip to No Frills was a  hit this morning. The children explored the produce aisles, excited to discover which communities the fruit and vegetables were grown in. They were surprised to see how many came from Canada. Others came from places like New Zealand, Guatemala, Costa Rica, South Africa, etc. We even got to visit the fish and meat departments.

Back in class, Mme. Blanco was waiting to present an exciting French lesson to the grade 4s. We then began working on review work for tomorrow's test. The review package is coming home today and can be used to further prepare for tomorrow's test on Number Patterns.

Students attended gym with Mr. Browning.

In arithmetic, we reviewed the process of multiplication and the terms factors and products.

We ended the day with the delicious novel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Today the children worked on summarising the chapters we have read so far. Many found this a difficult task, and we will spend more time on writing summaries as we work through the book.

 Homework and Reminders:

  • MMS - review unit 1 for tomorrow's test
  • Arithmetic  p 9 & 10
