We had perfect weather for our community walk this morning.
Armed with a pencil and a recording sheet, we headed out, taking note of the
features of our community. Students noted the businesses, types of
transportation and residences, and things that people enjoy like fishing in the
Credit River
In math, students used mental math strategies with
subtraction this time. We focused on using making friendly numbers and counting
when subtracting 3-digit numbers. Students are growing in confidence when using
these strategies.
In arithmetic, we learned how easy it is to multiply 2- and
3-digit numbers by 10 and 100 as well as multiples of 10 and 100.
Students completed this week's review of list 5 spelling
words.
Students attended gym and art class today.
