Number Patterns

Students began their second day of grade 4 by writing their Ontario Numeracy Assessment. This assessment is used to gauge student understanding on grade 3 math concepts and informs teaching practices for the grade 4 math year.

We also spent the morning reviewing and correcting yesterday's math homework and completing yesterday's writing review on sentences.

The children were happy to Ms. Pattenick, their art teacher for this year, as they enjoyed their first art class.

We enjoyed another round of House Games, playing Under, Over. This time, the game was hosted by Theta. Well done to Zeta for coming in first place.

Back in class, students completed today's spelling work and agendas.

We ended the day working on number patterns in math. Students practised identifying types of patterns, extending patterns, creating  patterns, and writing pattern rules.
