Finishing Up the PowToons

On December 17, 2019, students from Grade 3 to Grade 8 will put on two performances at the St. Jude’s Academy Dome. Our afternoon performance will begin at 1:00 pm, with doors opening at 12:30. Our evening performance will begin at 6:30 pm, with doors opening at 6:15 pm. Seating is on a first come, first serve basis. Please keep in mind that outside food and drinks are not permitted in the Dome.
For our evening performance, families are welcome to take our shuttle from St. Jude’s to the Dome and back. Shuttles will begin running from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Please meet in the main office.
 We encourage all families to come bundled up to stay warm and cozy for the entire show. The students and teachers have put a tremendous amount of work into their performances and kindly ask that all families stay and enjoy the show until the end.

 

We began our day with novel study time. We took up discussion questions about Chapters 19, 20, & 21 as a class. Students had no time to work on today’s reading and homework. They are to read Chapters 22, 23, & 24 and to complete pages 54- 60 in the guide for homework. This work is due on Monday.

Students worked on their PowToons during our remaining class time. Narrations are to be done at home over the weekend. Final PowToons are due on Monday, December 16^th. Devices are needed as students present their PowToons next week.

Students attended French and math today. In math, students received their unit tests from Ms. Joseph. They went over the test with her. Please review these with your child, sign them, and return them to school on Monday.  For homework students are to complete Page 160 - Q 22 & 23.

We went to the dome for our Christmas concert rehearsal today. We got to stat and watch all performances. This was a treat.

All Secret Santa gifts are to be at school on Monday.
