In today's math I spent time conferencing with each student
regarding the assessment piece they completed last week about angles and
quadrilaterals. Students heard what their strengths and weaknesses were. They
had the opportunity to correct their work to have a perfect score. We took up
Friday's class work and angles on measuring and constructing angles. Students
are asked to correct and incorrect work for homework today.
In our inquiry time, students
had class time to finish up their research about their community. Any
incomplete work will need to be completed at home. I also met with students to
check on science fair progress and to discuss next steps. Everyone had class
time to keep working on their science fair project.
We continued working on our
novel study. Students met in their discussion groups to discuss chapter . Class
time was given for the reading of chapter 6 and the answering of discussion
questions. Incomplete reading and answering of questions will need to be
completed at home. In order for groups to have productive discussions, students
need to bring their books and novel study notebooks to school each day.
Grade 6s attended French & Gym class today.
