Picture Day

Students began the week writing their geometry unit test.

In language, we learned to use commas to separate the hours and minutes when writing time, the chapter and verse when referring to books of the Bible, and after the greeting of a business letter. We also learned that we have to underline the titles of books, newspapers, magazines, ships, plays, and works of art.

Students began working on their list 10 spelling words.

During our inquiry into story telling, students wrote their own excerpt from the point of view of Charlie, one of the characters of I Will Never Not Ever Eat a Tomato. They then enjoyed hearing some of their classmates versions.

In arithmetic, students got their lesson on finding averages. They then did additional averaging and division work practice.
