Angles in Quadrilaterals

Our community time is being well spent, mostly. Some students had trouble logging in to their Prezi account. It is almost time to present. We will have one more day of class time for students to work on their Prezis. Students will present their Prezis on Thursday or Friday.

In math, we have almost completed a study sheet on the sides, diagonals, and angles in quadrilateral figures. Today, students discovered some interesting facts about the angles in squares, rectangles, parallelograms, rhombuses, and trapezoids. Ask your child to give you a sentence describing the angles in these figures.

In arithmetic, we learned that 16 ounces make 1 pound, and 2000 pounds make 1 ton.

In language, students worked on their list 8 spelling words. They also continued working on rules for using commas. Today students used commas to separate the items in an address and date.

Students attended French, art, and gym class today.
