Our day
began with a class discussion of Chapters 13 & 14 of Tuck Everlasting. Students have been assigned the following
reading: Chapters 15 & 16. They need to complete discussion pages 42 - 46
in the study guide. Some of this work was completed in class. Any incomplete
work needs to be completed as homework for tomorrow’s class.
Next we
worked on our explorers’ inquiry unit. Today students began working on their
Powtoon that shows First Peoples and their interaction with the environment. This
work was interrupted as we were called down for a Christmas concert rehearsal.
Some students asked to stay in during recess to work on their Powtoon. Students
may work on this at home. The entire Powtoon needs to be completed by end of
day tomorrow.
Grade 6s had
math class today. In math students took up the unit review. For homework, they
should study for the math test. The math test has been moved to Friday, December
14th.
Christmas
concert costumes for next week Monday & Tuesday:
North Pole
team: black pants, green top/sweater, reindeer antlers
South Pole
team: black pants, red top/sweater, Santa hat
Remember to
return ski/snowboard form and waiver by Monday.
