Day 10
We began our
day with a spirit day assembly. Everyone was dressed cosily in their PJs. Kappa
appropriately hosted a pillow case race for today’s house game. Well done to
Kappa for taking first place, and Zeta and Theta for taking second and third
place respectively.
Once we got
back to class we started talking about exhibition. Students watched a slide
show presentation about exhibition. Ask your child to explain the following to
you:
What is
exhibition?
What is the
purpose of exhibition?
What are the
required elements of exhibition?
What is the
role of the student?
What is the
role of the teacher?
What is the
role of parents?
How will
students be assessed?
We then had
math time. Students had to show that they had completed and corrected the
entire review package. The unit test
will be written tomorrow.
I collected novels and novel study summaries
today. Some students did not have this with them today. This work is now past
due. Please ensure you have them at school tomorrow.
The remainder
of class time was spent on the explorers RSA Animate project. Most students
have now completed the video and are now working on uploading the video to
Movie Maker or iMovie, editing the video, narrating the video, and uploading
the video to YouTube. Students are asked to NOT make the video private in order
to allow me to view them. They should NOT allow comments on their video.
Students are asked to email me the YouTube link by Tuesday evening to mhaag@stjudesacademy.com. Devices
are needed for tomorrow’s class if students have not completed this work. They
will have approximately 1. 5 hours of class time tomorrow to finish this
project. Remember to have all devices and materials at school in order to
complete this project on time in class.
Students
attended music and gym class today.
Ski trip
permission forms are past due.
This week is
Spirit Week. Students are invited to come to school with crazy hair and
colourful outfits tomorrow.
