Recording the Video

Day 9

We began our day with novel study time. We discussed the final three chapters of Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt as a class.  Many students found the ending very sad. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed reading and discussing this book. Students should now be working on their final project for the novel study which is writing a summary of the book. This is now due on Monday, March 8^th. The summary prompts can be found on pages 69 – 72.

Next up was math class. Students continued to work through the review package with a goal of completing the review package. The completed and corrected review is due at school on Monday. Most students have completed the entire review and I have checked most students’ entire package. The unit test will be written on Tuesday, March 7^th.

After math, students continued working on their final project for the explorers unit. Their challenge was to have a dress rehearsal of their RSA Animate today and then record their final version. The videographers found that holding the camera steady and still for so long was a really hard task. Videos should now be transferred to laptops and uploaded to Movie Maker or iMovie.  Devices are needed for Monday’s class.

Look out for explorer’s unit tests coming home today.

Students attended French and gym class today.

Ski trip permission forms are past due.

Next week is Spirit Week. Students are invited to wear their PJs to school on Monday.
