Internet Safety

We began our day with an assembly. Ms. Rossi's grade 1/2 s and Ms. Barber's grade 3s classes each put on a skit to raise awareness of bullying as well as ways to deal with bullying. Well done to those classes for their terrific performances.

Officer Moore from Peel Police visited our school. Grade 3s and 4s were treated to a presentation of Internet Safety. Officer Moore gave many valuable tips on how to stay safe while enjoying the internet.

In math, students wrote their final MMS test on probability.

We continued with our Please and Thank You Who We Are inquiry unit. Students continued practicing their performances in class and for each other. Groups will perform before the school at tomorrow's assembly.

Students met up in their literature circle groups for their sixth group meeting. After discussions, students used class time to read chapter 7. Students also received new role assignments for today. It is important that The Secret Garden books and reading duo-tangs be brought to school daily as we will be having daily group meetings as well as time allocated in class for reading.

For science fair remember to take pictures and record data as you go. Make time in the next week or so to purchase a tri-fold display board for the science fair.

Plants and Soils duo-tangs  and review sheets are coming home today so students can prepare for the unit test. The unit test has been moved to Monday, May 5.

Students attended French, art, and gym today.
