As
scheduled, students worked on their OWA post-assessment during today’s class
time.
Students attended music class with Mr. Oliver, French class with Mme.
Stella, and math
class with Ms. Joseph. Ms. Joseph discussed the applications of probability. Probability
can be expressed as a fraction, decimal, or percent. When expressed as a
percent, the word ‘chance’ is used. An outcome is certain if it is sure to
happen (getting a heads or tails when flipping a coin). An outcome is
impossible if there is no chance of it happening. Students completed Q 1 &
2 from Page 422 in class. For homework they are to complete Q. 6 on Page 423 and
complete the review worksheet for Monday. The tentative day for the probability
unit test is Tuesday, March 3rd.
We had fun at our Jump Rope for Heart event that took place today.
The oral competition against the Maples has been moved to Monday.
Spirit week takes place on next week.
Students are to discuss with their parents what they will be
bringing as a treat to the Ambassador’s tea party.
