Our morning
began with science fair judging. This was a stressful time for all and the
class is glad for it to be over. Winners will be announced next week. Students
look forward to showing their cars to parents and families tomorrow from 2:30
pm – 3:15 pm. Remember to be in full uniform tomorrow.
Next
students had language time where they worked on their OWA post-assessment
writing of a tale or legend.
Students
then worked on preparing their Polar Expressions poetry entry form. Once this
was done they worked on writing their short story entry also for the Polar Expressions
Competition. Students who finished their writing had their stories edited by a
peer. A few students have completed the entry form for their short story too.
Those who have not finished their short story are to complete these for
homework and email them to me: mhaag@stjudesacademy.com
We reviewed
the parts of a plane, the four forces of flight, and pitch, roll, and yaw. Students will be writing a short test on
Monday, November 18th, which will cover these concepts. Students
have begun work on their second last project for this unit. This time they are
exploring the connections between flight and society and/or the environment.
Devices will be needed for the next few inquiry classes. Students have formed
