Students
were introduced to the summative task for this unit called the Flight Report
& Air Show. Students will be building and testing paper planes to determine
which is the best. As a class we decided that the best plane will be the one
that flies the farthest. We will be using the scientific method in this
project. This requires background research to help students formulate a
testable question and hypothesis. Background research needs to be completed for
homework by Wednesday.
We are off
on our trip to the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum tomorrow. Students are to
be in full uniform – no hoodies - and they are to wear dress shoes. Don’t be
late as the bus leaves at 9 am. Students need to bring a packed lunch. If they
would like, they may bring spending money as we will visit the gift store.
Students who
have not completed their Polar Expressions or OWA stayed in during first recess
to work on this.
Grade 6s
attended music, French and math today. In math, students did the review for the
Ratio and Rate unit. They will be writing the unit test on Wednesday.
Curling trip
permission and waiver forms are now past due.
After-care
payments are past today. The lunch ordering system for December is open.
