We set up our display for International Day right at the
beginning of the day.
We then headed to class where students wrote the measurement
unit test.
After the unit test, we spent time reflecting on the art
UOI.
Speech time was next. We read about the parts to a
counterargument paragraph. Students used class time to begin planning their
paragraph. We did not complete first drafts in class nor did we have time for
students to ask for feedback from peers or a teacher. Grade 6s are asked to complete this
work over the weekend.
We very much enjoyed our curling time at Acton Curling Club.
Many in our class remembered what they had learned last year. For a few members
of our class, today was their first attempt at curling. Well done to everyone.
It was wonderful to see students encouraging each other.
We got back to school just as International Day was
starting. There were many wonderful displays and yummy food. Grade 6s
enjoyed vising other classes’ displays as much as showing off their own. Thank
you to parents for sending in food, drinks, and other needed items for our
presentation as well as making time to come and see our work.
Have a wonderful weekend.
