Grade 6s attended Art class with Ms. Kerr and Gym class with
Ms. Lovan this morning.
We used our writing time to work on our design reflection # 3
where students described the advantages and disadvantages of battery-operated
vehicles. Some students are right on track, but some are behind with their design
reflections #1, 2 and 3. Students who are behind remained in class during first
recess to get caught up. Those who are still not caught up are asked to catch
up this work as homework. In preparation for tomorrow’s reflection, students
are asked to think about challenges with building a full-sized car.
Grade 6s then had fun skating with Ms. Lovan and the Grade 5
class. Students who remained behind worked on their UOI projects.
We had
literature circle time where students discussed chapter 16 of The Lightning Thief using
their roles. Some students had time to read chapter 17 in class.
We ended the day with students breaking into their UOI
groups to research their ancient civilization. I visited with each group to
check on their progress.
Please support the efforts of the SJA Parent Guild through gift
card and cookie dough sales – these are due Friday
Remember that tomorrow is picture retake day. Wear full
uniform if you have not had your picture taken yet.
Look out for letters coming home today about computer coding
classes.
