Day 6 – 10 School Days until Exhibition

We continued learning about integers in math today. Students learned that they can use a number line to compare and order integers, because all the numbers above or to the right of zero become greater and all the numbers below or to the left of zero get smaller. Students completed practice integer work on pages 183 – 184 in their MMS 7 books.

We continued working on exhibition for the remainder of the day. Today I met with three groups to discuss their action and French component. Three groups have completed the second draft of their essay. This is due tomorrow. Groups have permission to work on the typing portion of the essay at home on Google Docs. Changes made should reflect the revision suggestions made by peers, parents, mentors, and teachers. The typing of the essay should be done fairly by all group members. Students may not delete each other’s work, but may insert comment and suggestion boxes, advising partners of changes that they think need to be made.

Students worked on various components of their exhibition project such as the action, French, art, and math components.

Students are asked to bring a baby and current photo of themselves for Arts’ Night by tomorrow. We will try our best to get these back to you after Arts’ Night.

Students are reminded to return their Cedar Glen trip permission forms and their immunization forms by tomorrow.

Students participating in the dance party may come to school in casual dress. Everyone else may wear Earth colours for our spirit day.
