We began our day with math. Students wrote the unit test for area and
perimeter. There is no math homework assigned today.
We continued working on exhibition for the remainder of the day. Students
worked on various components of their exhibition project such as the French,
art, reflection, and math components. I met with four groups today to discuss
the revision feedback and ways to improve their essay. These groups may begin
typing up the second draft of their essay on Google Docs while incorporating
suggestions to improve the essay. The typing of the essay should be done fairly
by all group members. Students may not delete each other’s work, but may insert
comment and suggestion boxes, advising partners of changes that they think need
to be made.
The class had French at the beginning of the day, gym time in the middle of
the day, and music at the end of the day. M. Fouad, Ms. Carter, and Mr. Oliver
joined us during these times to support the Grade 6s in their exhibition work.
Sibling picture orders are due April 18.
Students are asked to bring a baby and current photo of themselves for
Arts’ Night by April 20th. We will try our best to get these back to
you after Arts’ Night.
Students are reminded to return their Cedar Glen trip permission forms
and their immunization forms by Friday, April 20th.
