This
morning, we ran through the general introduction of exhibition. Students used
the remainder of morning class time to work on areas that needed attention. At
noon we had another run through of the general introduction. Many students need
to work on their gestures and enthusiasm for this component. Students then
learned which room they will be presenting in. They broke out into their groups
and rehearsed their oral components. Some groups discovered that they were over
the allowed time. They need to reduce their presentation to a maximum of 15
minutes. Some students had difficulty playing their videos. They are to ensure
that all videos are played from their device and not the internet. Many were
too dependent on their cue cards. The cue cards are for students to refer to if
they forget their lines, not for them to read from continuously. They need to
make eye-contact with the audience when speaking.
At the end
of the day, students made their second last journal entry.
We then
cleaned up our classroom as we will be working out of the antechamber and
adjoining classrooms all day tomorrow and Friday.
Finally, at
the very end of the day, we worked on our Wizard of Performance for a few
minutes.
Students
should bring in refreshments for exhibition.
Everyone is
required to be in full uniform tomorrow and Friday. Please arrive at 8:30 on
Thursday and at 8:00 on Friday to set up the antechamber and adjoining rooms.
