Our day
began with a class discussion of Chapters 23, 24, 25 and the Epilogue of Tuck Everlasting. Students have begun
working on the final task for this novel study – the book summary and discovering
the connections between the book and our inquiry unit. This work will be
completed in class only as students will be evaluated on their responses. Devices
will be needed to complete a research component to the novel study assignment.
We had a
Christmas concert rehearsal in the morning and our performance in the
afternoon. For this evening’s performance students are to be dropped off at the
classroom at 6 pm. Parents who require shuttling to the dome will proceed to
the gym for the shuttles. Students will be bused to the dome for the concert
that begins at 7 pm. Students are to be picked up from the gymnasium after the
concert.
Students who
completed all their novel responses worked on their Haida art.
We had
enough time for a few more students to present their Powtoons. Students who did
not present will need to be ready to present tomorrow. Devices are needed for
this. Students who have presented are asked to share their Powtoon with me.
Grade 6s had
some math class today. They worked on adding fractions.
Ski/snowboard
form and waivers are past due.
The Crawford
Lake trip form is due back by Thursday, December 20th.
Please do NOT order hot lunches on January 18th
& 23rd as we are out on trips these days.
Remember
that tomorrow is casual day and there is a bake sale going on.
