We had a lockdown rehearsal today. Grade 6s did a great job
doing exactly what they were supposed to do.
Today students participated in literature circle discussions
of Chapter 19 using their assigned roles. I sat with Group 3 and evaluated
students based on their contributions to the group discussion. Grade 6s have
been assigned Chapter 20 of The City of
Ember while they work on their reading responses. Students had little time to work on their reading in class. Any remaining
work needs to be completed for homework. Novels and Duo-tangs need to be
brought to school daily as we will be having novel study time daily.
During inquiry time, students completed the last triangle of
their Zentangle Pinwheels. Students had an hour of class time to work on their
electric cars. We will continue this all week long.
There are a few students who have not submitted the Polar
Expressions Entry form. Please return this tomorrow if it applies to you.
Grade 6s attended gym, French, and math class today. In math,
Ms. Joseph
introduced square numbers. Students worked on practice questions from their
textbook. They have been assigned questions 2 & 3 on p. 21 as homework.
They are bringing their tests home. These need to be reviewed, signed, and
returned to school.
We will be on a trip on November
20th. Please do not order a hot lunch for this day.
