Next we conducted an inquiry into forms of energy. Students
first learned about tips and the importance of note-taking. They then watched a
video about forms of energy and practiced their note-taking skills. The video
was followed by a quiz that tested their understanding of the various forms of
energy, their definitions, and examples. Students then completed a worksheet
about energy forms using a word bank.
In language we began working on understanding idioms. Ask
your child to tell you what an idiom is, specifically what is meant by a ‘hot
potato’.
