We continued working with number patterns. Today we related graphs and
Input/Output machines. Students used an Input/Output machine to produce a
graph, or used a graph to create an Input/Output machine. We discussed some
strategies to help use to this successfully, such as recording input and output
values in a table and looking for the patterns in output numbers. Almost all
students completed the practice work on pages 150 – 151 of the MMS 6 workbook.
Students received their novel study package for this term. This comprised a
book, Bridge to Terabithia by
Katherine Paterson, and Duo-tang with prompts and questions. They were assigned
to read Chapter 1 and answer the questions relating to Chapter 1. This is due
tomorrow when we will have our first discussion time.
