Students worked on
reviewing integer concepts in math today. They completed all corrections in
their review package. These are coming home today. The integers unit test will
take place tomorrow.
We continued working on
exhibition for the remainder of the day. At the beginning of the day students
practiced their BLS. Then they rehearsed their presentations and worked on
their visual displays. Finally we moved all props and work to the auditorium.
We will be working out of the auditorium for the next couple of days as we
rehearse.
Students have been asked
to forward their French videos, PSAs, and Powtoons to Maram. She has been
nominated by the class to assemble all these.
Students are to come to
school wearing their BLS costume. All props for the black light show are needed
at school. Full uniforms should be at school on a hanger, ready for students to
change into. Each student needs a bag to hold their BLS costume once they
change out of it.
Students should be
memorising their cue cards.
Grade 6 students are
required to bring items for the refreshment table for both morning and evening
sessions. Students have made the following commitments regarding refreshments:
Mehar – pineapple
Adiyah – strawberries
Zane – watermelon
Laryssa – apple
Wael – bananas
Nikhil – cantelope
Nicole, Jarniko, Alex –

Lucas, Emilia, Alexis –

Maram, Taran, Celeste - Water

If possible, peel and cut fruit for us. We will assemble a platter at
school. Please send fruit and cheese on Thursday or Friday morning. Other items
may be brought in earlier. Students are
reminded to bring in one package of NUT & PEANUT FREE cookies and 2
packages (8 in a package) of juice if they haven’t already done this. Students
are asked to start bringing in these items now.
If possible, please send a lamp to school to help light up the tables as we
have removed the bulbs in the auditorium for the BLS.
Students are asked to arrive at school at 8 am on Friday.
Each group should keep
working on their ‘Items Needed’ list
where they record all items needed for exhibition day, such as full
uniform pieces, French component costumes & props, BLS costumes &
props, items for art display, items for visual display, etc.
Students should be working on spelling
bee practice in preparation for the contests that will take place soon.
Those participating in the Caribou math
contest are to arrive at 7:15 tomorrow to be ready to begin the math contest at
7:30 am.
Students have decided to order dinner from
Pizza Hut and a Hakka restaurant for Friday’s dinner. We will look at menus
tomorrow. Students will then know how much money to bring for Friday.
