Our Friday began with a math lesson on tiling patterns. We
chose a figure to work with, traced it to make a tile, and then transformed it
across the page to see if we could create a tiling pattern with no gaps and no
overlaps. In addition, we named each figure in the design and described the
transformation that moved it from one position to the next. Students should complete practice questions p.
279 of the MMS textbook as homework.
The class then enjoyed music class with Mr. Andrei, after
which we headed to the cafeteria for our pancake breakfast.
We used the rest of class time today to work on UOI
projects, speeches, and have conferences about bullying. UOI presentations will
take place on Monday. Students should have their presentation on a USB, ready
to present on Monday.
Look out for letter about the PD Camp and March Break Camps
coming home today.
Also look out for after-care invoices coming home with some
students today.
