In our inquiry time, students researched the history of the
telephone by reading a non-fiction text. They made jot notes to represent what
they discovered. Ask your child what they learned.
While students worked on their research, I met with students
individually to discuss their science fair progress. Students who are doing the
engineering design project are now to create a problem statement that addresses
the who, what, and why of their problem. Scientific method students are to
generate a question that will drive their project. Problem statements and
questions are due tomorrow. Also due tomorrow is the project proposal form.
Grade 6s attended Drama, French, and Gym class today.
