Next up was our inquiry unit How Shocking! For today's lesson, students shared their information
in their research notes from yesterday with the class. Students added
additional notes to theirs to improve the quality of their research notes.
Students were asked if electricity can make objects move. We spent time
discussing how to answer a question like this, as students were not answering
it in a scientific way. Students should answer yes, or no, and follow this up
with evidence they have observed. We discussed energy transformations. Ask your
child to explain the meaning of this term to you. Students played with
battery-operated toys with a view to explain the energy transformations that
occur.
First time - a note will be sent home,
Second time - Students will be sent to the office to wait for a family member to bring the needed uniform piece,
Third time - the student will be given the needed item and the parent will be billed
