Today, in
math, we reviewed how to calculate the surface area of a rectangular prism.
Students then learned how to find the volume of rectangular prisms. Students
who did not complete this in class are asked to complete p. 88 – 89 of the MMS
6 practice book for homework.
In today’s
novel study on Tuck Everlasting, we discussed Chapters 9 & 10 as a
class. Students have been assigned to complete Chapters 11 & 12 and the
responses on p. 37 – 38. This work is due tomorrow.
For our
inquiry unit, Where we are in place and time, students continued working on
their first line of inquiry ‘First Peoples and their interaction with the
environment’ through the lens of causation.
They worked on recording their research in jot note form in their graphic
organiser. Students will have one more school day to complete their research.
They will need their devices all week. On Thursday they will need access to
their own POWTOON account.
Students are
reminded to bring in their Crawford Lake trip form by tomorrow.
We spent
some time preparing for our Christmas concert performance.
At the end
of the day we attended the JK – Grade 2 Christmas concert performance.
