We began our day with a Spring Fundraiser assembly. SJA
students have raised $3900. The top student got to silly string Ms. Bosetti.
There are almost enough funds raised to shave Mr. Palumbo’s hair! Students are
very much looking forward to that.
Once back in class, we began working on Exhibition. I
checked to see that everyone had emailed me the good copy of their essay. A few
groups were late and had to work during the day to complete this component. Students
then reflected on the written component and made a journal entry to describe
the successes and challenges and how they are developing as an IB learner. I
have enjoyed reading student journal entries. I would encourage parents to read
them too.
As groups worked on their media components, I met with them
to discuss progress on their survey, interview, action component, and visual
art component. The first draft of the media component is due tomorrow. Groups
need help from parents in finding someone to interview as well as coordinating
the interview. Some groups made progress on their survey questions by creating
a poster of their question, creating survey handouts. One group even began
conducting their survey.
Some groups met with their mentors today.
Today was Ms. Ymbang’s last day with us. We took time to let her know how valuable she has been to us and how much we will miss her.

Students attended Music with Mr. Andrei. Some students
attended gym with Mr. Slyk.
Look out for the last Spring Fundraiser Sundae form coming home
today. There is also a bowling permission form coming home today. Look out for
Audrey and Alika’s permission form coming home today, requesting permission to
include your child in a video for their Exhibition project.
Remember to send in old batteries that you need to safely dispose of. The Grade 1 and 2 classes at SJA will take care of this for you as part of their UOI.
