Today we
learned about a different perspective, a scientific one, on the first peoples
on the American continent, where they came from, how they got here, as well as
their way of life. This lesson was interrupted by the Christmas concert
rehearsal. Students are to watch the video below and then complete worksheets
in their UOI duo-tang. We will take this work up in class tomorrow.
We
continued working on our new novel study today – Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt. We took up discussion
questions about the Prologue and Chapters 1 & 2 today as a class. They had
some time to work on today’s reading and homework. They are to read chapters 3
& 4 and complete pages 13 – 19 in the guide. This is due tomorrow.
Students
attended French. We did not have math class due to Christmas concert practice
at the dome. The
tentative date for the math unit test is Monday, December 9th.
Look out for letters about ski trips coming home today. Mark these dates on
your calendars and remember not to order hot lunches on these days. Forms are
due back on Thursday, December 12th.
We will be curling on Friday afternoon this week to make up for yesterday’s
trip. Students are to come to school dressed in their gym uniforms. Remember to
bring your helmet!
