Our Spirit
Day began with a pancake eating contest during this morning’s assembly. Well
done to Kappa, Zeta, and Theta for taking first, second, and third place respectively.
Once in
class students wrote their UOI test. Students who needed it, received extra
time to complete yesterday’s math unit test. For tomorrow’s UOI class, students
will be experimenting with ‘green screen’. They should download a green screen
app onto their phones for this activity.
Students had
gym, math, and French class today. In math, students
reviewed writing data as fractions, simplifying fractions, representing
fractions in pictures, and solving fractions involving fractions. They then
converted fractions to decimals, by first writing them as equivalent fractions
with a denominator of 100. They are to complete the practice questions on p.
290 – 291 of the MMS7 textbook for homework. They have received hundredths grids
for this work.
Spirit week takes place all week. Tomorrow is Whacky
Wednesday where anything goes. Students not participating should wear their
school uniform.
We will be painting on Friday. Students should come to school
having chosen the Canadian/Ontario physical feature/landform they have chosen
to paint.
