Our day started with poetry! Now that’s a changeJ. We reviewed what an
action word poem looks like and then students shared what they know about Haiku
poems. We read about the format of Haikus and read examples of student writing.
Grade 6s were then challenged to write a properly formatted Haiku before first
recess.
We used today’s math time to review number pattern concepts
in preparation for Friday’s unit test. Students were challenged to complete and
correct questions 1 – 8. Review work is coming home. Students are asked to
complete the assigned questions for today if they did not get done in class,
i.e. questions 1 – 8. Please return the review work tomorrow, as we will use
class time to finish this work up.Inquiry time was a busy and messy time again. Many students are running into trouble with building their cars. This frustration is completely normal and expected. Students now need to problem solve to get over these hurdles. I look forward to seeing what happens in class tomorrow.
