Yesterday at school, we began working on math review for
next week’s probability unit test. We continued with this work today. The unit
test will now be written on Tuesday, June 7. Sorry for moving things backwards
and forwards. Students that needed to wrote their measurement retest yesterday.
Yesterday we met in our novel study groups to discuss
chapter 10 of The Bridge to Terabithia. Students were assigned to read
and respond to chapter 11 for homework. Due to the Arts’ Night performance last
night, many in the class did not do the reading. As a result we did not have
novel study discussion groups today, in order to allow everyone to get caught
up with their reading.
Both Arts’ Night performances took place yesterday. If you
attended, you will have noticed how smoothly the show ran with many thanks to
the audiovisual team (Rachel and Rohan), the runners (Audrey, Titus, and
Justin), the presenters (Siheon, Aly, Gurjas, Calvin, Bhavya, Dev, Adam, and
Alika), and the performers (Bhoovi, Cayden, Zain, Abel, and Carter). Well done
everyone, you made me proud!
Grade 6s attended French with Mme. Stella yesterday. Today,
they had a double music lesson with Mr. Andrei, who let them try out all the
band instruments. The class had a blast, literally!
We had four groups presenting their UOI projects today. Well
done, groups! The presentations have been very informative. Tuesday is the last
day for groups to make their presentations.
Spelling bee finalists, please keep practicing your spelling
bee words and more for the contest against The Maples Academy.
Look out for after-care letters coming home today.
Look out for a trip letter coming home today.
