Our communities presentations began today. The children took
turns presenting their findings. The class has been a great audience and is
asking good questions of the presenters. We look forward to hearing the
remainder of the presentations tomorrow.
In math we learned about similar figures. The children know
that two figures are similar if their corresponding angles are the same and
their corresponding sides are multiplied or divided by the same number.
In arithmetic, students learned to do long division where
there is a remainder.
In language, students completed their review of list 8
spelling words. They continued using commas in sentences according to the 6
rules we have learned. Today, students were introduced to the use of quotation
marks as a way of showing the exact words that someone has said.
Students attended French, art and gym class today.
